Acne is difficult to treat on your own. Let us help.
Acne vulgaris is the most common skin disease. When hormone levels cause sebaceous glands to produce too much sebum, and it combines with dead skin cells, a plug will block the pore. Propionibacterium acnes is a bacteria that invades this plugged follicle, contributing to even more acne. When the follicle weakens, it opens, releasing sebum, bacteria, skin, and white blood cells, causing inflammation of the tissue and redness. No one knows why some people have acne and not others.
There are things you can do to lessen your risk factors.
Certain risk factors can contribute, including age, gender, hormone levels/changes, heredity, diet, medications, personal hygiene, cosmetics, environment, and stress.
