Our largest organ oftentimes gets overlooked and taken for granted, but you can start making small changes to your every-day routine to see and feel big differences in the health and appearance of your skin.

Fuel Your Skin

Add healthy fats from fish, avocados, nuts, and seeds to your diet. These are packed with omega-3s, Zinc, and Vitamins E & C to help fight inflammation and support elasticity, while helping to keep skin, thick, supple, and moisturized.

Increase your intake of antioxidant-rich foods like dark, leafy greens, tomatoes, red and yellow peppers, root vegetables, dark chocolate, and green tea. Antioxidants are critical in neutralizing free radicals that promote aging. They support collagen development and help fight oxidative stress caused by the sun and the environment.

Increasing healthy fats and antioxidants as well as drinking more water throughout the day, while limiting processed carbohydrates and sugar will give your skin the nutrients it needs to shine.

Establish a Consistent Skincare Routine

Ideally, you want to set up a morning and evening skincare routine. Your morning routine will consist of using a light cleanser, a toner, or serum followed by a moisturizer that contains a physical sunscreen of 30 SPF or higher—Easy peasy, and don’t forget to treat your neck, chest, and hands.

At night, we hear all the time from patients who forget to wash their makeup off before bed. Eeek! Removing your makeup before bed is critical for achieving healthy skin. Thoroughly cleanse your face of all the environmental pollutants, dirt, and grime that’s collected over the day. Put on a hydrating or calming serum and your favorite night cream and then add retinol. Our providers recommend adding retinol as the last step because it’s going to pull all of the great ingredients you just put on your skin into your skin.

Establishing a consistent skincare routine helps slough off dead skin, keeps acne at bay, and helps to improve the texture, tone, and integrity of your skin. We also highly recommend scheduling a professional facial at least once a month to treat pores and assist in cellular turnover, while infusing vitamins and antioxidants deep into the skin with treatments like a HydraFacial or Oxygen Facial. Our Master Estheticians are experts in skincare, offering a wide range of services that include chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and much more. Whether you are battling acne, dry skin, or melasma and hyperpigmentation, we will tailor a regimen specific to your goals.

Slow the Appearance of Age

Eating a balanced diet that is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals while developing consistent skin treatment routines will improve the appearance of your skin. But to slow the appearance of age, to treat sun damage, and prevent wrinkles you need to employ treatments like Halo™ Pro and Forever Young™ BBL. Generally, we recommend getting one Halo Pro laser treatment a year. Halo resurfaces the skin, removing hyperpigmentation and it stimulates new collagen development, tackling wrinkles head-on. Forever Young BBL (broadband light) is the Ferrari of IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments and it has been proven to reverse aging at the molecular level. It is a phenomenal treatment that keeps your skin healthy, bright and youthful looking. We recommend 1 treatment a month for 6 months for the initial correction phase and then 1 treatment per quarter to maintain your results. BBL treatments eliminate red spots, small broken blood vessels, freckles, and unwanted sun damage. It also promotes new collagen development. Patients with acne and rosacea have found significant relief from their symptoms from a series of BBL treatments.
