COMPARING THE VAMPIRE BREAST LIFT TO A SURGICAL BREAST LIFT

The Vampire Breast Lift® can lift the breasts, increase cup size, improve sensitivity, improve skin tone and texture, remedy lax skin in the middle of the breasts, and fix inverted nipples…all without surgery.

VBL is the craze among celebrities who prefer not to go under the knife but need to show off a beautiful body on the runway. All women face the same challenges that include sagging breasts that have lost their youthfulness, no matter how much we exercise and maintain a healthy weight.  In the past, the only option to restore breasts was surgical enhancement, often in combination with implants.

Today, there’s a natural option.

The VBL is an in-office breast enhancement procedure that uses your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) which are derived from your blood.  After drawing the blood from your arm, it is run through an aesthetic centrifuge to isolate the PRP.  These platelets and growth factors are then injected into the breasts to help promote new tissue, new blood vessels and new nerve endings. It takes 3 months to realize results and those results will continue to improve over the next year. However, for patients wanting immediate lift, we recommend combining dermal fillers and/or PDO threads with our PRP treatment to restore youthful lift and contour.

How do the actual procedures compare?  Breast lift or augmentation surgery involves an incision and, generally, a large amount of reconstruction. There can be considerable discomfort and downtime after the procedure. Whereas, the VBL is a non-invasive procedure which means there is no incision; no anesthesia; no damage to the surrounding tissue or impact on any other organs; and there’s no downtime. After the VBL procedure, you will feel tender, but can resume normal activity. We recommend wearing two bras for added support a week after treatment.

What about anesthesia and downtime? With a VBL, there is no need for general anesthesia, nor is there up to a month-long recovery period like the surgical option. There could be some redness, swelling, and/or bruising as well as tenderness for about a week. We use a topical numbing cream for the VBL and may inject with lidocaine if we’re combining PDO Threads in the procedure. Our patients always comment about easy the treatment is, but if you’re nervous, we have Pro-Nox to help you relax.

What results can you expect? Increased volume and firmness and noticeable improvement in the tone, texture and appearance of the skin. The VBL can also lift, smooth, enhance cleavage, and add fullness. Treatment is ideal for patients who want to see an increase of 1-2 cup sizes. A surgical lift with implants provides a more dramatic result. Sometimes, this can be an overly obvious change to the body. If you’re looking for a more natural result, the VBL option may be the better choice for you.

How long does the VBL procedure take? The entire procedure takes about 90 minutes, including numbing but it can vary with each patient. A surgical lift can take a few hours including recovery, depending again on each woman.

How long do breast lifts last? You can expect the VBL lift to last 2+ years. Your body has generated new tissue, so it’s not going to disappear with a given deadline. If you love your results but want to increase the size, we’ll do a second treatment. The great news is that the VBL will continue to improve over a year after the procedure as your body builds collagen.  The VBL can also help women who have had breast implants by using PRP to augment shape and fullness.  Surgical breast lifts can last 10 years, depending on the implants.

Will I lose sensitivity? The VBL can actually improve sensitivity by generating new nerve endings and blood vessels for improved circulation.  One potential negative side effect of surgical breast augmentation is necrotic nipples. This is when a patient experiences a partial or complete loss of sensation in the nipples. There are no contraindications with the Vampire Breast Lift because it is using the regenerative power of your body.

How does the cost compare? Breast augmentation or breast lift surgeries can cost upwards of $8,000. The VBL costs $1,800.
